If You See Something, Say Something

Feb 27

Amidst the sinkholes of slush in this post-blizzard Manhattan, little Frostys pop up in surprising places: Shubert Alley, Chelsea, and the West Village.

A David Mamet play, a cup of coffee, a Blackberry, a notebook and a laptop. Might be the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

My sister has had “Bear Friend” since she could talk. He’s traveled all over the world and back. He even survived a brutal attack by a dog (where he lost a nose and had an eye sewn back on) and many a sleepover.
Bear Friend’s shelf-mate, “Monkey,” belongs to my sister’s fiancé. Monkey managed to survive many obstacles that come with being the beloved childhood toy of a little boy.
I believe neither of these stuffed friends will be retired to their shelf for very long. They’re simply on a temporary break till the next generation of tiny humans require something soft and warm to cuddle with at night and whisper secrets to by day.
