Here are some close up shots of Livingston’s “Nixon in China” flair.
I would also like to add that Livingston invited me and my friend, Zach, to her apartment to screen a documentary about her that a Frenchwoman is trying to raise the funds to edit. Livingston cautioned the invite would “not be formally engaged until renovations on her apartment are completed in a few months.” She gave me her business card, which, on one side, has a picture of something she called the New York Power Pool (it looks like a command station out of a 70s sci-fi movie), and on the other, a mannequin wearing an outfit she designed inspired by this “pool.” The card does not contain any other information. She hand wrote her number for me, but it got smudged and is now illegible.
I take these photos while I walk around New York City. My iPhone camera allows me to see the city through a different lens. To understand where I live. To walk in the footprints of ghosts, while seeing the life before my eyes.
